Tommy Lee Goes to College

Accidental porn star Tommy Lee invades America’s heartland when he hits the books at the University of Nebraska for a reality series that is about as genuine as Pamela Anderson’s bustline. The aging rocker, who never even graduated high school, attends advanced physics classes, joins the marching band, and pimps his own dorm room all for the sake of fish-out-of-water laughs. But the series of wacky hijinks seems more forced than an episode of Joey. According to the show’s disclaimer, the bad boy of rock never actually enrolled in courses (which probably has something to do with that lack of a GED) and didn’t even live on campus with the rest of the Huskers, as we’re led to believe. However, if you can get over the fact that this reality show is orchestrated with more care than a Mick Mars stage move, Tommy’s unadulterated enthusiasm for collegiate life and hot coeds is almost enough to make you re-enroll at DeVry.
