Treasure Hunters

Why did they have to put reality into a treasure quest? Ten world-traveling groups compete in piecing together clues in hopes of being the first to find the treasure at the end of the quest, but the real hunt is for viewers to find a team that isn't loathsome. Treasure hunter qualifications can include being a member of a preacher's family—which subscribes to the sin-now-repent-later philosophy—losing a Miss USA pageant, or having an intimate knowledge of the streets of South Boston. Hell, writers for a Seymore Butts feature couldn't make room for as many assholes. Each puzzle the amateur Lara Crofts solve inches them toward the ultimate treasure: 15 glorious minutes of obnoxious, self-indulgent fame.
