Unhitched

Because the only programs on FOX that have been consistently funny are cartoons, the network's brass brought in the minds of the Farrelly Brothers to try to add some live-action hilarity to their Sunday night lineup. And the result is both good and bad. While we love the Farrelly's gross-out humor as much as the next guy (even we were shocked that some seriously horny "monkey business" kicks off the show's first five minutes), seeing it repeatedly week after week may cause it to lose its charm. The good news is Unhitched's cast mixes well and seems to have a lot of fun goofing off. Craig Bierko leads the group as a guy who's shocked to find himself single again. Coming to his aid are pals Tommy (Jonny Sneed), a triple divorcée, brainy surgeon Freddy Saghal (Shaun Majumder), and the attorney who's handled all three of the guys' divorces, The Office's lusty Rashida Jones. While we're still not sold that this show won't tire quickly, it does have some genuine laughable moments. It's not the new Arrested Development, but hey, it's better than paying 10 bucks for The Ringer 2.
