There's a lot of TV options to choose from these days. Too much for any one person to completely monitor, but that doesn't mean we're not going to do our best to sift through all the listings and figure out what you should be watching every week...with all the highlights, lowlights and guilty pleasures you can stand.
Monday, June 14th
10:00 p.m. The Soup Presents Girl Fights (E!)
A show all about ladies throwing down would be enough to garner our attention, but throw in the wry commentary of Soup host Joel McHale, and it's a surefire win. The Soup's one of our all-time favorite shows on TV (thank God Community hasn't robbed us of Joel...yet), so we're all for additional episodes, even if they're just "best of" bits from previous episodes. It must be hard to cherry-pick from all the slappings.
Wednesday, June 16th
9:00 p.m. Most Daring Senior Smackdown 5 (TruTV)
This looks like it'll be a pretty feisty week for TV. From girls getting into it (see above) to old timers engaging in donnybrooks (look it up), the summer looks to be filled with fisticuffs. TruTV's "Most Daring" series of shows might be brimming with lame commentary, but they also bring the best and craziest clips around. See if you can spot your grandma flipping the bird, or Gramps punching a pompous thug.
Thursday, June 17th
9:00 p.m. Burn Notice (USA)
Burn Notice is one of those shows we love to watch, but never remember when it's on. Well, apparently it's on at 9 EST on Thursdays, so there's no excuse to scratch your head and shrug your shoulders if you miss another ep. The spy series basically acts as a "how to" on being a secret agent, so of course we're always taking notes and using the techniques to peep on our hot neighbors. This week's episode pits super-spy Michael against the mob! Hopefully he won't meet a Luca Brasi fate...
Friday, June 18th
10:00 p.m. CMT Crossroads (CMT, duh)
We're not big country-music fans (at least not mainstream country; don't you go dyin' on us, Willie!), but we like the idea behind Crossroads, which takes a country music artist and teams them with someone from an outside genre. This time around it's Keith Urban with John Mayer. You might think Mayer's only good for singing songs that make your girlfriend wish you would have written just for her, but he's actually an accomplished blues guitarist. And Urban's an awesome country picker, believe it or not. The pairing should be interesting.
Sunday, June 20th
10:00 The Gates (ABC)
The Gates looks like it might be a little too True Blood for our taste, but we'll give it a shot because there's not many new TV shows starting this summer. The premise of this series involves the new resident of a gated community (who also happens to be the new cop in town) dealing with the unusual monsters living inside the gates. Let's hope this is more like solid X-Files arc than, say, any Desperate Housewives after the first season.
Sunday, June 20th
10:30 p.m. Holly's World (E!)

Holly, Holly, Holly. We love to look at you, but sometimes the things that come out of your mouth leave us cocking an eyebrow in bewilderment. This week's episode of the Girls Next Door spin-off finds Holly on a blind date. (Hey, at least she's not still with that Mindfreak d-bag.) Good luck getting some, pardner!
Monday, June 14th
10:00 p.m. The Hard Times of RJ Berger (MTV)

The Hard Times wants you to think it's a show that flips the script on being a nerd in high school by giving an über-nerd a huge dong, but what it really does is ask you to buy into a rather flimsy concept (get it?). RJ's such a weirdo that he masturbates to drawings of girls riding dragons while touching himself and the drawing. Meanwhile, his friend Lily thrives on being inappropriate to the point of over-saturation, going so far in the first episode to furiously masturbate in the library, while looking at RJ's picture and thinking about kissing him when they were in kindergarten. Shockingly entertaining, or just gross shock value? Nice try, MTV, but what else do you have?
