To celebrate this fine nation of ours, E! is devoting an entire week to shows all about sun, sand, and sumptuous booty. Although we cant really vouch for the quality of the programming (some of the shows actually interview people not wearing bikinis, dammit), theres something to be said for quantity.
The week kicks off with the premiere of Baywatch: The E! True Hollywood Story, a two-hour tribute to the bouncing beach babes who won our hearts with the slow-motion rescue. Although you do have to listen to endless amounts of David Hasselhoff whining, reading poetry, and referring to himself in the third person, many of the other men in the cast are suspiciously, yet thankfully absent.
Throughout the week, you can also tune in to live episodes of E! News Daily from beaches in L.A. and Miami; classic episodes of Howard Stern, featuring Pamela Anderson; the Pam Anderson Celebrity Profile; the Tommy Lee True Hollywood Story; a five-hour marathon of Wild On on July 7; and a July 4 extravaganza, featuring alternating episodes of Sexy Swimsuits and the sexy beach romp Search Party. God bless the U.S.A.!
