Check out five unlikely stars spotted in the front rows.
Women generally equate Fashion Week with people like Anna Wintour and Rachel Zoe. Men may think of the Victoria Secret show, which, sorry guys, isn’t actually part of Fashion Week. Both sexes probably don’t think of aggressive athletes and prepubescent boys…but lo and behold, here they are! Check out some unexpected faces that made an appearance this week.
At: Dolce & Gabbana’s Fashion’s Night Out event
Confusing Because: He’s a seventeen-year-old, (seemingly) four-foot-tall Christian pop singer who spent $25,000 on a diamond Stewie necklace. Stewie from, like, Family Guy, which is so not high fashion. On an unrelated note, he also admitted to wearing women’s jeans during the event.
At: BCBG Max Azria
Confusing Because: Yeah, a basketball player may not seem like the likeliest attendee of a runway show, but as fashion icon in the sports world, Wade’s appearance is totally excusable. What’s not excusable is his appearance at this particular label given that it’s for solely for women, particularly the likes of Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson.
At: Alice Olivia, Nicole Miller
Confusing Because: The ‘Jackass’ guys are pretty notorious for appearing without their clothes but when Bam is covered from head to toe, it certainly isn’t in the ultra feminine designs of Alice Olivia or Miller’s signature bright dresses.
At: Vera Wang
Confusing Because: Wang is a designer known for her whimsical wedding gowns. Williams is known for outrageous tennis outfits and on-court outbursts- like the one she made just two days prior to attending this show. In true Serena fashion she unleashed these snippets against the US Open umpire,” If you ever see me walking down the hall, look the other way,” and “what a loser.” That doesn’t seem like the ladylike behavior one would expect of a Wang devotee!
At: Hervé Léger
Confusing Because: As far as we know a label focused exclusively on bandage dresses for starlets doesn’t make any bandage for men. Maybe that’s what prompted the actor to jump out of his seat moments before the show started, only to return minutes later via the runway…while the models were on it.
