Jena Sims doesn’t mind knocking industry veterans out of the way for more screen time. Though she first filled the screen in Roger Corman’s Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader, her work has gotten as sharp as her elbows. A recent turn in Kill the Messengeralongside Jeremy Renner, Ray Liotta, and Andy Garcia announced her intention to buckle down. She wants to be more than a pretty face, which is a bit tricky because it's a hell of a face (just ask the judges of Miss Teen USA). But she's pulling it off, using her growing fame to gin up publicity for “HBBQs (Has Been Beauty Queens),” a non-profit organization that holds a noncompetitive contest where every child leaves a winner, and booking role after role.

Jena found some time to chat with Maxim about her best assets, cheesy pick-up lines, and some of her upcoming projects.

I feel most sexy wearing my guy’s t-shirt. And underwear.

If I had a free afternoon, I would take a dance class. It’s something I don’t make a point to do and if I had some time, why not?

My favorite part of my body is my butt. It’s out there, and it’s pretty spectacular.

A man can get my attention with a cheesy pick-up line. I know most girls hate them, but I think they’re so ironic. If a guy can accept that and pull it off with swag, I find that very attractive. 'If I were a booger, I’d pick you first,' is a personal favorite.

My favorite food is Krispy Kreme donuts. If you want to pick me up, just bring me those. They’re the equivalent of flowers for me.

I have two films that are going to start shooting late this fall, one called “Down Angel” and the other is “The Forest”. They’re both horror/thrillers, which I haven’t done in a while so I’m due.

If I weren’t acting, I would probably be a flight attendant. I can never see myself having a 9-to-5 job and I think that would be so perfect for me. Plus, free travel is amazing.

A man should look sexy but a little rugged. I don’t mind scruff and definitely not too much hair product. Like an 'I look sexy but I’m not trying to look sexy' kind of thing.

I like a man to wear a good pair of name-brand jeans. If he has those I know he’s got his stuff together. I’m also a sucker for a graphic tee.

My favorite place to hang out is a place called Blue Dog Beer Tavern. A lot of beautiful people hang out there and people bring in pictures of their dogs to hang up on the walls.
