The mojito is not only your breath’s saving grace during a night out, but it’s also a preEy mysterious piece of history, when it comes to the origins of the cocktail.
One belief is that Sir Francis Drake combined rum with mint and sugar to fight off scurvy during his sail to Havana in 1586.
Others believe that it was invented on sugar cane fields by African slaves in the 19th century.
But no matter what you believe about the mojito, we can all agree that it’s pretty darn tasty. Learn how to make the Bacardi Mojito below.
What You'll Need:
2 parts Bacardi Superior Rum
12 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime in wedges
2 tablespoons simple syrup or sugar
Sprig of fresh mint to garnish
1. Muddle 12 fresh mint leaves & 1/2 lime.
2. Cover with 2 tablespoons simple syrup or sugar; top with ice.
3. Add Bacardi® Rum & top with club soda.
