We keep wondering when we'll feel like Keanu Reeves is truly back as dog-avenging assassin John Wick, and we haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, with the reveal of a new poster and trailer for John Wick: Chapter 2, we're thinking he's back.
The trailer was introduced at New York Comic Con during a panel featuring director Chad Stahelski as well as producer Basil Iwanyk and, of course, Keanu himself.
About the new film, Reeves expressed excitement about working with the same crew again as well as newcomer Common, and that he was stoked about donning Wick's suit again.
We learned from the Comic Con panel discussion that the new movie begins less than a week after the end of the John Wick, and that the plot is driven by an old acquaintance of Wick's who pops up expecting the assassin to fulfill a "blood oath."
The panel was fun and gave Comic Con attendees a nice inside look at making the new John Wick, but as far as we're concerned the trailer promised everything we might want in this sequel.
When John Wick: Chapter 2 hits theaters on February 10, 2017 in the US, we'll be in line.
