Keanu Reeves Is Dressed to Kill For ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’

Everyone’s favorite dog-avenging assassin is coming back hard.

Stone-cold dog-loving assassin John Wick is coming back, and based on a teaser poster released for John Wick: Chapter 2, he’s wearing his finest murder suit. 

We were pretty excited when a truly badass video of Keanu Reeves in gun training for his second go-around as Wick was released. The new poster above as well as director Chad Stahelski’s hints as to what’s coming have us ready to just hand over our money. 

Stahelski tells EW that Chapter 2 finds Wick facing the consequences of all the murders he committed in the first film in his quest to avenge the life of the puppy given to him by his dead wife. Stahelski also digs deeper into the fascinating underworld of elite assassins established in 2014’s John Wick:

“What’s it like to be in a world like this? That’s what we really wanted to expand on,” the director says. “Me and the other creators on the show, my partner and the other producers, the biggest attraction to us about filmmaking really is creating a universe, and creating a world, and creating a little bit of escape. That’s really what we focused on and we’re hoping that’s what comes across in the second movie.”

There are new cast members as well—including Reeves’s Matrix trilogy co-star Laurence Fishburne, who plays a mysterious character known only as The Bowery King. 

Stahelski also told EW that Chapter 2 will bring “twice as much action as the first movie,” including a car chase sequence that was taken “a full notch up” from anything in the original film.
