The Rock Slams ‘Fast 8’ Male Co-Stars as ‘Candy Asses’ In Furious Instagram Post

He also called them “chicken sh*t” in this gloriously epic rant.

You would think if your co-worker was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the one thing you’d want to avoid might be making him mad. Not only is he one immense and intimidating slab of muscle, he also appears to be an affable, positive, likable guy. Apparently, certain actors on the set of Fast 8 acted like jerks, and Johnson called them out in the Instagram post above.

The post is a brief clip of a prison fight involving Johnson’s Fast and Furious franchise character, Hobbs, in which Hobbs tosses a guard like the guy is a throw pillow. In his caption The Rock compliments the films crew and expresses admiration for his “amazing” female co-stars, who include Michelle Rodriguez, Elsa Pataky, and Charlize Theron—but he has harsh words for the men.

Johnson writes that some of the guys—his male co-stars include Tyrese Gibson, Vin Diesel and Scott Eastwood—”conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.”

Johnson then neatly slides from that unusually angry declaration into a pretty cleverly set up promo for the movie, saying when viewers finally see Fast 8 “next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.”

Now we’re pretty anxious to get a load of The Rock when he stops being nice and starts being real. We’re also curious about who was dumb enough to push the big man’s buttons hard enough that he openly expressed his irritation that way, and whether they still have their faces or not.
