Ryan Gosling is going to the moon — if Damien Chazelle gets his way.
Deadline is reporting that the Whiplash director is "courting" Gosling to star in his upcoming Neil Armstrong biopic, First Man. The film adaptation of James Hansen’s biography First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong will be written by Spotlight scribe Josh Singer.
Gosling and Chazelle are working together on the musical La La Land, co-starring frequent Gosling collaborator Emma Stone. Clearly the Half Nelson star has impressed his current director — but maybe Gosling waiting to see how the final product turns out before he boards First Man.
