This Explosive Teaser Reveals the True Title of ‘Fast & Furious 8’

Are they telling us we’re near the end?

The way some filmmakers have turned mere movie trailer releases into mini-events is kind of silly. Unless we’re talking the Fast & Furious franchise, which has been a true action juggernaut since the very first film. For Fast we’ll take a teaser like the short and blistering clip posted on the F&F Twitter account Friday—especially since it also gave us the next movie’s actual title: The Fate of the Furious.  

The title is sure to prompt some conversation, since it seems to imply some kind of finality. Is this the last film we get featuring Vin Diesel‘s Dom Toretto and the rest of his Fast family?

We don’t know yet but Sunday we’ll have more to chew on than the frenetic sequence of explosions and gun battles depicted above — that’s when the actual full-length trailer debuts.

One thing’s for sure — whatever happens in The Fate of the Furious, it’s bound to blow us away.
