Alfie Allen Denies Sister Lily’s “Game of Thrones” Casting Claim

Looks like (maybe) Yara liar, Lily.

A few weeks ago, we reported that Lily Allen almost played YaraGreyjoy on Game of Thrones, which she revealed during a recent Reddit AMA. At the time, Allen claimed that she turned down the role because it would have involved some awkward sexual encounters with her own real-life brother, Alfie, who plays Theon Greyjoy on the show. But now her little bro is calling her bluff.

In an interview with Vulture this week, Alfie is quoted as saying, “The only thing I’m going to say on that is that it’s not true. And also that [actress] Gemma Whalen was always their first choice for the part. And she’s fantastic.” Guess that’s the end of all that incest chat…for now. 

This isn’t the first time the British siblings have been at odds with each other. In 2006, Lily Allen released the song “Alfie” about her younger brother’s weed habit. Play nicely, children.
