Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s famously raunchy chart-topper “W.A.P.” is a tough act to follow, but Cardi is hoping to go number one again with her new single, ‘Up.” 

“Up” is Cardi’s first solo single since 2019’s “Press”, which peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. But since “Up” has already debuted at No. 2, will it claim that number one spot next week? 

Sharing the chart on Twitter this week, Cardi seemed pleased with the song’s debut,  writing: “Just landed and my wifi back poppin. I want to say thank you to all my fans and supporters this is BIG for me. I wanted to beat my last solo single number & I over succeeded. First time a female rapper debut top 5 since Lauren [Hill]. This is pop girl shit but I’m not pop.”
