That’s one GIANT leap for amphibian-kind.

During NASA’s Friday launch of the LADEE, the spacecraft had an unexpected visitor on the ascent: a frog, who was probably just minding his own business on a lily pad when life reminded him that it really isn’t easy being green. The unfortunate critter, dubbed “Rocket Frog” by the always-compassionate internet, has become quite the little celebrity, and although he is 99.9999999% dead as a doornail and unable to enjoy his newfound fame around the swamp, at least we can rest easy knowing that Rocket Frog is in a better place.
