SANDY, 2011 SEMI-FINALIST

What’s the most memorable thing you’ve ever done to get a guy’s attention? How did he respond?
I made him my target. Literally. I was at a park with a couple of friends, we were playing football.  I saw this tall and handsome guy jogging by. I needed to get his attention quick and fast. I threw it at him, hitting his head! Luckily, it was just a Nerf football. He brought it over and I took the opportunity to ask him if he wanted to join us. He played with us a few games and we all went out for drinks afterwards!

Have you ever used a pick-up line on a guy? If so, how’d it go?
I've never really used pick-up lines, they are most of the time pretty cheesy. It's all about striking up an interesting conversation. I met this guy at a bar a few months ago. A basketball game was on the TV and I bet the guy a post-game drink that (insert player's name here) would shoot a three-pointer before the quarter is over. The guy raised the stakes, turned the drink into a shot. We spent the rest of the game talking and went out for a couple of dates after that.

Do you have any advice for guys on how to keep a girl who’s a bit of a flirt?
Every relationship is built on trust as long as she comes home to you and the flirtation is harmless. Yet, there are different levels of flirtation and it may be a sign she is testing the waters. Never make it a contest and try to out-flirt her to make her jealous. She will win. Anyone can try to hold her hand but you are the one that touched her heart.

VAN, 2011 SEMI-FINALIST

Do you consider yourself a natural flirt? Why or why not?
I have been told that I'm a bit of a flirt...but I call it charm and wit ;)

Has a past or current boyfriend of yours ever gotten upset with you for flirting with other guys?
An ex-boyfriend of mine was beyond jealous! I would be reprimanded for even moving my neck 'cause he would be thinking I was checking out someone. I was often accused of flirting with waiters just by asking them to explain the menu!

If you're the jealous type, a flirtatious girl would not be for you.

CASEY, 2011 SEMI-FINALIST

What’s the most memorable thing you’ve ever done to get a guy’s attention? How did he respond?
I flew to Florida, bought tickets to Spring Training, made signs and screamed his name. That guy was Jonathan Papalbon and yes, I got his attention. He took a picture with me and that was pretty much it, but it was really fun at the time!

Has a past or current boyfriend of yours ever gotten upset with you for flirting with other guys?
No, but I did have a past boyfriend who would get mad at me for being "too friendly" with guys that I grew up with. That's why he's an ex.

Take it all in stride. The second she sees you losing interest in her, she will stop flirting with other guys and pay more attention to you. If she doesn't, then its time to move on -- someone else will give you the attention you deserve.
