A Writer's Studio at the Hutton Hotel

The Hutton Hotel is drawing on Nashville's eternal allure for wannabe hitmakers by offering weekend "Writers Retreats" where musically-inclined guests can work with professional songwriters and sound engineers at the hotel's own recording studios.

Beginning this summer, the Music Row hotel will offer four-day workshops at a pair of intimate studios conceptualized by country star Dierks Bentley and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, in which guests can write and record songs with the goal of crafting at least one demo-worthy track.

The Hutton's invitingly boho-chic Writers Studios have already spawned a monster hit: pop-country singer Maren Morris recorded her vocals here for "The Middle," last year's chart-topping earworm by Morris, German DJ/producer Zedd, and production duo Grey.

The Arizona-born Bentley's "West" studio, pictured above, features terra cotta tile flooring, Navajo-style area rugs, a full lineup of Martin guitars, a sound booth, a Supro 1695T Black Magick Tube Amp, and state-of-the-art recording equipment.

The "East" studio across the hall conceived by OneRepublic's Tedder boasts a collection of Gibson guitars, a sound booth, recording equipment, plus oak floors, leather chairs and brick walls. Both spaces were built by Studio 11 Design.

Notable musicians who recently jammed here include Hootie and the Blowfish singer-turned-country crooner Darius Rucker and Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, seen in the Instagram video below:

Guests who partake in this summer's weekend program—overseen by Grammy-nominated sound engineer Gordon Hammond—also get a bedroom suite at the Hutton Hotel along with individual writing and recording sessions.

The Hutton recently launched Analog, a 5,000-square-foot live music club, which has hosted performances by Morris, The Shadowboxers, and Allen Stone, along with other local artists.

Just above the club sits the hotel's signature luxury duplex, The Hutton Suite, which features a Baby Grand piano, just in case you wanted to jam in your room.
