It’s Official: Katy Perry Is Single!

Our prayers have finally been answered.

Despite month-old rumors that Maxim cover girl Katy Perry was engaged to her rocker boyfriend John Mayer, the couple have reportedly broken up – and this time it’s for real. The two pop stars dated on-and-off for about two years, and even recorded a love song about their affair (we suspect this is the real reason she dumped him). But over the past few weeks the starlet has been seen traveling completely solo and sources claim the two split due to career conflicts. Regardless of whether they get back together, we have all the confidence in the world that Katy will be just fine. But you should probably vote for her in Maxim‘s 2014 Hot 100 just in case; it would totally cheer her up.
