Alec Baldwin Arrested For…Riding A Bike?

We New Yorkers take our bike-riding pretty seriously.

Controversial actor Alec Baldwin got into a scuffle with the NYPD yesterday afternoon after he took to NYC streets riding a bike against oncoming traffic. When approached by police, the actor responded in the worst way possible – by yelling at them in the middle of the street. Genius. As a result he was given two summonses: one for riding a bike against traffic and the other for disorderly conduct.


In a move that can only be described as classic Baldwin, the actor also seemed determined to have the last word. In a tweet that was posted shortly after he was released from custody and later deleted, Baldwin stated, “New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.” Wow. That hurts.  

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time the 30 Rock star has lost his temper. Back in 2007 Baldwin famously left his 11-year-old daughter Ireland a hostile voice message heard ’round the world, and just last year he chased a paparazzo down the street while screaming colorful obscenities. Alec, our advice to you is stay away from phones, cameras, and maybe just people in general. Oh, and maybe it really is time for you to move to LA, as promised.
