The Walking Dead and Terrapin Team Up For a Bloody IPA

Because watching zombie guts makes us thirsty, ya know?

Just last year, a brewery over in Philly decided it’d be a smart idea to roll out a beer inspired by The Walking Dead with a little somethin’ extra to it…brains. No, that’s not slang or a metaphor for a cool term only beer snobs know. Real, smoked goat brains, a delicacy to some and extremely gross to many, are infused in the ‘Dock Street Walker,’ a drink mixed with flaked barley and cranberry notes.

Now, brains are taking a back seat for blood, as Terrapin Beer Company prepare their Blood Orange IPA for release this fall. While not as literal as last year’s apocalyptic stout, this blood orange beverage (made with blood orange peel at a 6.7 ABV%) sounds pretty promising and should be a great compliment to the upcoming 6th season.

While we await the arrival of this bloody new beverage, sit and ponder with us as we decide just how AMC will eventually put an end to the unruly horde of undead.
