Watch the Pulse-Pounding Trailer for John Cena’s Sniper Thriller ‘The Wall’

The WWE star plays a soldier caught in an enemy’s deadly trap.

Anyone who caught crowd pleasers like Trainwreck, Sisters and Daddy’s Home was pleasantly surprised to witness WWE strongman John Cena’s impressive comedic chops. Audiences will soon see his full acting potential in The Wall, a sniper thriller set during the Iraq War.

In the recently-released trailer, Cena and English actor Aaron Taylor Johnson play two American sharpshooters caught in a trap set by an enemy sniper. Cena is wounded early while Johnson, hiding behind a makeshift rock wall, must reckon with the enemy over a radio. Rather than a harrowing war drama, the trailer plays like a tightly-wound hostage thriller.

The Wall, which was directed by The Bourne Identity helmer Doug Liman, hits theaters on March 10, 2017.
