Katy Perry Drops Surprise Single As Her Fans Continue to Roast Taylor Swift

Perry’s new song “Rise” honors Olympic athletes, as her feud with T-Swift rages on.

Pop superstar and former Maxim cover girl Katy Perry may have kept herself deep underground since her last single, “This Is How We Do,” dropped two years ago, but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about the bombshell who introduced us to Left Shark.

It seems she’s been quite busy, as the 31-year old revealed a brand electronically-influenced track to the world, inspired by the heroics of Olympic athletes. 

Appropriately titled “Rise,” Katy said in a statement, “I can’t think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be. I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together.”

Well, we know two people who certainly won’t be rising together anytime soon: Katy and her musical counterpart Taylor Swift. All of T-Swift’s social media platforms have been getting mauled by Perry’s bloodthirsty fans after Swift’s ex, DJ Calvin Harris, tweeted:
