Sigourney Weaver Will Be in the Ghostbusters Reboot

No word yet on whether her character will be possessed.

The Ghostbusters reboot is starting to look more like a vintage Ghostbusters reunion: Sigourney Weaver has signed on to appear in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters update.

“Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I’ll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!” Feig tweeted on Friday.

Weaver appeared in the original Ghostbusters movie as Dana Barrett, a cellist who enlisted the service of the Ghostbusters after noticing odd disturbances in her apartment. It’s not clear if Weaver will be reprising the same role, but it seems likely enough.

Original Ghostbusters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson have all signed on to Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters reboot, which starts Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and and Kate McKinnon. It will hit theaters in July 2016.
