This Parody Makes Us Glad Wes Anderson Didn’t Direct Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars gets the hipster treatment. 

Have you ever imagined what Star Wars: The Force Awakens would look like if Wes Anderson directed it? No? Well now you don’t have to imagine, because someone created a parody trailer set in a galaxy far, far away where Star Wars is as twee as can be.

With its unnecessary use of French subtitles and a soundtrack of Francoise Hardy’s “Le Temps de L’amour” (which you might recognize from Moonrise Kingdom) the fake Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer perfectly captures Wes Anderson’s unmistakably pretentious aesthetic.
