Straight Outta Compton and Straight Into Theaters

Finally, the NWA biopic the world has been clamoring for. Well, actually, this looks pretty good! Set against the backdrop of the L.A. Riots and featuring actors that look a heck of a lot like their real-life counterparts, Straight Outta Compton might be halfway decent. And if it isn’t, we’ll always have Paul Giamatti over-acting like his life depended on it.

Produced by both Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, the film is directed by F. Gary Gray, whose first film, Friday, starred Ice Cube only four years after the events of the film. If anybody know Compton, it’s these guys.
