The video for “Famous” is a techie dystopian dream.

Charli XCX dropped the video for “Famous” (a track off Sucker) today, and it’s like if an episode of Black Mirror was set in a flashy, bubblegum-pink pop star world. “Famous” stars an obsessive teenage Charli XCX fan with an unhealthy inability to unplug from technology. When she runs out of juice on both her phone and tablet, she’s thrust into a grotesque trendy nightmare world. (The hat that reads “FLEEK” and the room that looks like it’s straight out of The Magic Schoolbus are both especially terrifying touches.)  Expect emojis — many, many emojis.
