Watch: Netflix Releases Explosive Trailer For ‘Narcos’ Season 2

The hunt for drug lord Pablo Escobar just went into overdrive.

In the first season of Netflix’s brilliant Narcos, we got to watch the rise of Colombia’s legendary drug lord Pablo Escobar, head of the infamous Medellin Cartel. The show tracked Escobar (Wagner Moura) from his coke-dusted beginning in the 70s through his El Chapo-like escape from prison in 1992. 

Season two, which begins September 2, 2016 will track Escobar’s attempts to stay out of the clutches of deadly Colombian anti-drug police as well as DEA agents Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), and Javier Peña (Pedro Pascal). 

While the show is essentially a docudrama depicting an intensely dramatic fight that reportedly may have taken thousands of lives before Escobar’s death, it looks like there are plenty of fiery and bullet-riddled details in the story yet to come. 

It looks so intense, we can’t wait.
