The Totalitarian Allure of Ronda Rousey Fan Art

Come to think of it, we totally see the resemblance.

UFC superstar Ronda Rousey’s moment won’t be over till she says it’s over, and it looks like that will be a while–especially since fans are rendering pitch-perfect portrayals of the bantamweight champion as the title character in Marvel’s future production of Captain Marvel.

The fan art was sparked by Rousey’s Reddit AmA. A Redditor asked Rousey which hero she’d want to play if cast in a superhero flick. “Well…” she replied, “a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel.”

As reported by Fox Sports’s “Haymaker” UFC blog, some talented fans of the rowdy brawler took the idea and ran with it.  On Saturday, Rousey posted some of the best on her Instagram account.

The IMDB listing for Captain Marvel notes an anticipated 2018 premiere, Marvel has plenty of time to carefully vet all of the candidates and then come to the inevitable conclusion that Ronda Rousey is plainly the only conceivable option.
