The Eagles Went After Greg Hardy on Sunday for Being a Human Dirtbag

Hardy received a little “extra mustard” on blocks from Philly’s offensive line.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end and well-known woman beater Greg Hardy had a tough weekend. It started with Deadspin releasing a slew of pictures showing the bruises and welts he left all over his ex-girlfriend’s body last year, and it ended with his team dropping a divisional game in overtime.

In between, Hardy had the chance to forget his troubles while out on the field. But a few members of the Eagles refused to let him to do that.

After Philadelphia knocked off Dallas 33-27 with a game-ending, overtime touchdown, a couple players in the winning locker admitted that they were trying to deliver some gridiron justice  during the game. “Any time I had a chance to put a little extra mustard on a block, I tried,” offensive lineman Lane Johnson said.

Eagles center Jason Kelce added that “it’s a joke” Hardy was even allowed back on the field. ”There are three (types) of people I have zero respect for in this world,” he said. “It’s people who hit women, people who molest children, and rapists. I’m glad he didn’t have a good day.”

This wasn’t just about given Hardy his comeuppance. Johnson added that Hardy “shuts it down” when things aren’t going this way. At least, that’s he reaction when things aren’t going his way on the field. When things aren’t going his at home, he responds by body slamming his girlfriend on to a coach covered in assault rifles.

Speaking of Hardy’s day, he recorded three tackles and a sack. Pretty pedestrian numbers for a guy making more than $11 million this year.
