To kick off the World Cup’s biggest match-up we’ve pitted America’s sexiest against Britain’s most sultry.

We call it soccer and they call it footy; we scarf down chili cheese dogs and they devour fish and chips; we pay for health care and they don’t (okay, okay the Brits won that one). Now, with the top soccer teams competing in the World Cup we think it’s only fair to see which gal population is hotter: American babes or British ladies. To get in the competitive spirit for Saturday’s USA versus Britain match we put our sexiest Americans—the highlights of Maxim’s 2010 Hot 100—against stunners of the U.K.. May the best women win!
