Vin Diesel Is Back and Kicking Ass in the New ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ Trailer

Guns, explosions, and that fur-collared coat.

Vin Diesel pretty much invented the character Xander “xXx” Cage as far as moviegoers are concerned, so his return to extreme super agent territory in xXx: Return of Xander Cage always feels like a homecoming. Based on this new trailer, it’s a homecoming involving guns, grenades, and all the brands of martial arts-inspired ass-whipping you can handle. 

In Return of Xander Cage, Diesel’s Cage has returned, according to the studio’s description, “to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box.” In doing so he’ll have to contend with another team with the same goal, as well as the discovery of a very high-level conspiracy that may force Cage and his team of cohorts to go rogue.

Diesel is sharing the fun in Xander Cage with co-stars Deepika Padukone, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Rory McCann and the inimitable Samuel L. Jackson.

xXx: Return of Xander Cage blasts into theaters on January 20, 2017.
