WATCH: The Star Trek Beyond Trailer Is an Adrenaline-Fueled Thrill Ride

It’s fast and furious, just like its director. 

You thought you were going to have to wait until Star Trek: The Force Awakens opened to see the newStar Trek Beyondtrailer, but — — it’s here today.

The trailer was originally expected to premiere in theaters ahead ofThe Force Awakens, Paramount was forced to release is early after someone leaked a German version of the trailer on Monday. And by the looks of it, it seems like Justin Lim forgot he was directing Star Trek instead of yet another Fast & Furious sequel. Set to the tune of Beastie Boys‘ Sabotage, the trailer shows Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban and (possibly) Idris Elba navigate through presumed calamities with death-defying escapes, screaming, and some corny Dad jokes.  Expectations: LOW.
