Max Payne

It’ll take more than a few Nuprin to relieve what’s ailing Max Payne, a cop out to bring down a crime syndicate in this gritty Glock opera. It doesn’t help that his family has been reduced to a puddle of guts and he’s taking the rap for murdering his boss. But with an arsenal of NYPD essentials (y’know, shotguns, grenades, and rocket launchers) he’s about to give the criminal underbelly a serious case of indigestion. Unique features include a difficulty level that adjusts automatically and a Matrix-style “bullet time” feature that lets you cap bad guys in excruciating slo-mo. Side effects of the old “this time it’s personal” story may include mild agitation and eye rolling, but most should experience immediate, therapeutic results.
