The Italian Job

If you were hoping for a chance to ogle a virtual Charlize Theron, you’re going to be disappointed by this adaptation of the Marky Mark flick of the same name. In fact, The Italian Job bores so much, the American Italian Defense Association could make a case for defamation. The ordinary race-and-chaser’s loosely knit compilation of repetitive Mini Cooper showdowns has a recognizable scene or two, but that’s about it. (Thanks, but we’ve played Pole Position before.) A serviceable knockoff, but the only thing that could have made this also-ran truly worthwhile was left on the cutting-room floor.
