We know what you're thinking: Another summer, another movie filled with talking computer-generated crap. But Cars is a perfect summer joyride from start to finish line. These aren't your run-of-the-scrapyard jabbering autosthese are from Pixar, the genius studio behind Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. Sure, your kids will need a few pee-pee breaks during the nearly two-hour-long flick, but it's got a great plot about a self-centered, hotshot racing rookie, Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson), who takes one of life's unexpected detours. On his way to the Piston Cup Championship, he lands in the run-down town of Radiator Springs and learns there is more to life than racing. The cast of memorable characters will be careening off toy shelves momentarily, so look for Paul Newman as a beaten-down yet once-glorious Hudson Hornet, Larry the Cable Guy as a folksy tow truck, and Tony Shalhoub as a tire-dealing '59 Fiat, Luigi, in a toy store near you this Christmas. Rev up your engines, fill the SUV with 10-year-olds, and head straight to Cars. It's a fun ride for everyone.
