Nine Black Alps
Grunge never died. It just got a haircut and moved to England. Nine Black Alps are the latest batch of Brits to exhume Kurt Cobains corpse and charge it full of life. Fortunately, they do this without sounding like either shameless necrophiliacs or, worse, Bush. Cosmopolitan is a breathless, feedback-drenched punk-pop sprint, and even though much else here feels very 1993, its an invigorating trip back in time.
