Vin Diesel Couldn’t Finish an Interview Because the Hot Brazilian Reporter Was ‘Too Sexy’

Vin, you okay?

What’s up with Vin Diesel? Is he well? We’re just asking, because as this interview for his upcoming film xXx: Return of Xander Cage done at Comic Con in Brazil seems to reveal, the bass-voiced action star is acting kind of odd.

Or maybe he isn’t, we don’t know. Maybe that’s just Vin—we’re seeing the side of him that perhaps prompted The Rock’s Instagram rant about a male cast mate from The Fate of the Furious. Whatever his deal is, Vin Diesel sat down for this chat with an admittedly attractive Brazilian Youtube celeb named Carol Moreira and he didn’t talk about his work much. All he could do was go on about how hot Moreira was.

Seriously, he went on and on. At one point in the generally excruciatingly awkward video he says, “How am I supposed to do this interview? Look at this woman. She’s so beautiful. Talk to me, baby.” 

As for Moreira, she was trying hard to put on a game face, but it’s obvious as the interview progresses that she was not having any of it. Hers was the expression of every woman who ever felt hemmed in at the bar by some guy who can’t read body language or facial expressions.

In her native Portuguese, Moreira admitted in a different segment that she was uncomfortable, reports the Daily News. “I did not like it,” Moreira said, “At the time I did not know how to react, but you will see that I was uncomfortable, it was not nice that he interrupted my work.”

It’s a little surreal to see a star of Vin Diesel’s caliber so completely lacking in chill. If his mirror shades were concealing some bloodshot eyes or other evidence he wasn’t himself from either exhaustion or chemical amusement, we get it. But still—come on, man.

Regardless of what Diesel’s fans think of this weird video, we’re pretty sure Diesel’s longtime squeeze Paloma Jiménez might have plenty to say.
