Though tech giants like Apple ignited the smart-watch craze, luxury watchmakers are certainly leaving their mark.

TAG Heuer, which has been a gold standard for Swiss horology for over a century, dropped a luxury smartpiece called the Connected last year. Coupling the design of its classic Carrera line with Android Wear technology, the Connected proved smart-watch utility didn’t have to come at the cost of style.

In fact, the two can work hand in hand.

Case in point, TAG Heuer just announced a series of 11 new interface designs for the Connected that can be downloaded per the preference of wearers. So, if wearers ever tire of seeing a faux digital chronograph, they can mix things up with an assortment of themes available on the TAG Heuer Connected app. This is the sort of style potential the analog age never offered.

Better yet, these designs have been customized by 11 TAG Heuer ambassadors, many of them titans of the sports world. The designs run the gamut from understated to flashy, depending on the personality of the ambassador. For example, the Tom Brady option is in classy navy blue with minimal detailing whilst David Guetta took some liberties with a modernist soundwave design.

Though the luxe TAG Heuer Connected is out of reach for most of us at $1,500, we can all get excited that watchmakers are making the most out of the digital craze.
