What’s that you smell? Is it the sweet scent of a used diaper filled with Indian food? That’s because Anchorman: The Legend Continues is that much closer to being made…and that much closer to being just as awesome as the original. Last night, behind-the-scenes comedy god Adam McKay (the dude directed the first Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers in addition to founding Funny or Die) tweeted that SNL alum, Bridesmaids star, and all-around excruciatingly hilarious actress Kristen Wiig is “officially on board” for the sequel to what we named at the time the best comedy of the year. (We’ve since accepted that it might actually be the best comedy of all time.) So slap on some Ghost Panther and try to contain your excitement: Anchorman: The Legend Continues hits theaters this December.
