Birds of Prey

Remember those adolescent conversations you used to have about the endless possibilities of superhero offspring? Spider-Man, Superman, the Hulk, all mixing seeds with their respective female counterparts to create a bigger and better superhero? Birds of Prey finally puts those images on-screen with its trio of hot new crime-fighting vixens—one being Huntress, the secret daughter of Batman and Catwoman. Batman fled New Gotham after the Joker killed Catwoman and riddled Batgirl with bullets—and now these Birds have to kick some ass and save some lives. The show keeps the comic-book feel and has some surprisingly good effects for a weekly television series. Ashley Scott looks amazing as Huntress—she’s the only one wearing one of those skintight superhero getups, but, by gosh, we’ll take it!—as she handles Gotham’s newest goons. Now if they could just start working on some She-Hulk on Elektra action…
