Conspiracy

Conspiracy is a dramatization of the 1942 meeting that officially began Hitler’s “Final Solution” to “evacuate” the Jewish population. The film starts off slowly with plenty of Heil Hitlers and introductions so we know who everyone is: “Dr. Wilhelm Stuckart, you’ve met Friedrich Kritzinger. Friedrich Kritzinger, say hello to Dr. Wilhelm Stuckart…” But, once in the meeting room, shocking subject matter and impressive performances keep things moving. Although Conspiracy suffers from a lack of action, watching men casually joke about the pink color of gassed corpses over wine and cigars is as sickeningly captivating as a car wreck. And—who knows—you might even learn something.
