Network television needs another generic cop show like Chief Wiggum needs another Krispy Kreme. Still, setting said cop show in Hawaii with a cast full of toned bikini racks is a good start toward distinguishing itself from the CSIs and Law & Orders that clutter our TiVo. (Especially when that cast includes newcomer Aya Sumika, the most explosive thing to hit Hawaiian beaches since the Japanese in 1941.) As long as you remember you're on vacation, you'll happily soak up the clichéd plotlines involving drug rings, gang members, corrupt cops, and decapitation. And if that's not enough to make your stay a pleasant one, slacker cops played by Eric Balfour (Six Feet Under, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Ivan Sergei (Crossing Jordan, Jack & Jill) are around to keep you laughing. As if your black-socks-and-sandals combo wasn't enough.
