If you like Lost, then ABC is hoping you'll also get stranded with it's latest sci-fi series, Invasion. This hour-long dramaone of three new series about mysterious creatures invading the fall seasonkicks off after a hurricane rips through a Florida town, leaving some of its residents changed. The simple sci-fi premise questions whether aliens have used the hurricane to amass an all-out invasion, snatching the bodies of a few key characters, creating mysterious lights, and adding to the creepy critters that inhabit the Everglades. Invasion tries to focus on character development, introducing us to a handful of potentially interesting beings who will help unravel the mystery. But within the first hour it's pretty clear whose body has been snatched and it's hard to maintain interest in the poor souls who are next; not to mention, the extraterrestrial premise isn't entirely unique and lacks the necessary plot twists to keep the audience guessing (and, in turn, watching). But given the patience for slowly developing stories that Lost fans demonstrated last season, Invasion may survive just long enough to leave a sizeable wake on the primetime seascape.
