Ariana Grande is a mega-successful 23-year-old actress and singer who’s appeared in hit TV shows like Scream Queens, earned four Grammy nominations over her career and was named among TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2016. At her young age, she’s clearly a tireless worker.
Still, the “Focus” singer became the focus of online outrage when she recently uploaded a “cute” Instagram with a particularly brazen caption: “when you’re cute but you’re also the hardest working 23 year old human being on earth.”

Strong words.
Naturally, this prompted countless fans to claim that they work harder than the wealthy celebrity for far less, or point to people around the world working inhumane hours in hazardous conditions.
“You may have a stressful life and a nice voice but that’s all. You don’t have to work more than 10 hours a day like other 23 year old girls, just to earn enough money to feed their whole families just for one day,” one keyboard warrior griped. Another simply chimed in, “Ew.”
Ariana has yet to issue a statement addressing the Internet furor. However, she did hashtag the post “#unfuckwitable” so it is likely that she doesn’t care.
