To date, Margot Robbie has almost exclusively played glamorous, blonde-haired sexpots. Well forget the Margot you know and love because the gorgeous Australian actress will be truly unrecognizable in her forthcoming biopic I, Tonya, wherein she plays disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding.

The paparazzi recently caught Margot on the set of the film, which chronicles the skater's sordid relationship with husband Jeff Gillooly and his botched plan to cripple Tonya's greatest Olympic rival, Nancy Kerrigan, by paying off some thug to thrash her in the leg with a medal rod ("WHHYYYY!?").

Margot appears to be wearing a "fat suit" or to have gained weight for the project. She is also donning some primo 1994 fashion trends, such as fringed hair and high-rising denim. It's truly a sight to behold.

What's more, TMZ recently dropped a video of Margot in the rink, presumably in training for the film. Although a double will almost certainly be used, Margot seems to have found her footing and is sure to win praise in the way Natalie Portman did for her extensive ballet training for Black Swan.

We're also looking forward to seeing Sebastian Stan in costume as Jeff Gillooly, the mustached villain at the center of this '90s tale of love and war.

The titillating tabloid plot together with these behind-the-scenes shots of Margot have us pumped for I, Tonya, which regrettably won't hit theaters until 2018. Until then, there must be countless TV movies based on the infamous Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan feud.
