Behold the All-New 236-MPH, $5.8 Million Bugatti Divo

Only 40 of the ultra-exclusive hypercars will be produced.

Bugatti just unveiled their third-ever production hypercar, and it's tailor-made to take on the toughest tracks in the world.

The Divo was teased earlier this year, but gearheads everywhere got their first look at the French car manufacturer's latest model following an official presentation at The Quail auto show in Monterey, California

Power comes from the same 1,500-hp W16 engine that roars in the Chiron. But the combination of a 77-pound weight cut, fine-tuned suspension and chassis, and brilliant aerodynamic design make the Divo particularly suited to screaming around corners.

“To date, a modern Bugatti has represented a perfect balance between high performance, straight-line dynamics and luxurious comfort," says Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann.

"Within our possibilities, we have shifted the balance in the case of the Divo further towards lateral acceleration, agility and cornering. The Divo is made for bends."

The proof is in the eight-second improvement over the Chiron's Nardò circuit lap time. Though it might not have its predecessor's totally insane 260 mph top speed, the Divo can still get up to an electronically limited 236 mph at a blistering rate.

A hefty $5.8 million price tag didn't detract buyers from swooping up every one of the 40 available vehicles, but you can still take a closer look at the Bugatti Divo in the gallery above.
