Hemingway Bar, Prague, Czech Republic

An homage to one of the world’s finest drunks, Ernest Hemingway, Hemingway Bar has got to be the finest bar in Prague.  Well, in the world, actually, as it regularly finds its way onto the world’s best bars lists and has roped in some of the best bar staff in the business. Perhaps it’s the two floors of exquisite crystal glassware, the collection of over 200 rums, or the infamous perfectly prepared absinthe that makes this place so freakin’ good. But whatever it is, we’re digging it.

Smoking inside is the thing in Prague, so light up a fat cigar and sink into the leather couches. Hemingway is always busy with fun locals and in-the-know tourists, so if you want to get involved, it might be a good idea to book ahead. You can’t go wrong with any of the drinks here, but it would be criminal to visit Hemingway without knocking back at least one Hemingway Daiquiri. Serious rum fans should order the “tasting experience,” where samples of rum are served with pairings of chocolate, nuts, and dried fruit; or go all out and join the bar’s Rum Club to score regular invites to free lectures on all things rum. You’re gonna love it.
