50 Cent Is Getting His Own Variety Show

And that’s not even the strangest part.

The basic cable channel A&E, once known as the PBS of pop culture, has signed a series deal with one Curtis Jackson, popularly known as 50 Cent. Tentatively titled 50 Cent Presents, the show will offer music, sketches, stand-up comedy, celebrity guests, and something called “reality experiments.” I have no idea what this is? Is it like Punk’d? Or Candid Camera? Please help us understand.

“I grew up watching variety shows and am excited to put my own spin on the format,” 50 Cent told The Hollywood Reporter. “I hope everyone is ready to bring their talent forward; I want to show the world the best of the best.”

“50 Cent is the perfect partner to refresh this classic format,” A&E head of programming Elaine Frontain Bryant told THR. “He is a true tastemaker across industries and we are excited to see his impressive showcase of talent.”

Okay! I have only one condition: Celebrity guests can only be invited to appear on 50 Cent Presents on their birthday.
