This 9/11-Themed Wedding Is the Worst Idea Ever

Why didn’t anyone stop Devo’s Jerry Casale?

Planning a wedding is hard, and the many details to consider add up to what seems like an insurmountable task. Location, guest list, food, booze, music — these are all just the tip of the iceberg. For Jerry Casale, one of the founding members of Devo, the biggest decision was figuring out just what national disaster to shit on. Being that he and his young fiancée Krista Napp got hitched last Friday (think back on the date for some quick foreshadowing) they went with 9/11, making their nuptials the least romantic and most disrespectful wedding in celebrity history, one would assume.

The couple pushed the idea for the wedding theme as far as they could possibly go, serving a huge wedding cake shaped like the Twin Towers, and offering up box cutters (the weapons the hijackers used) as party favors and place setting decals.

Real nice, guys.
